What It Measures. Why It Matters.
The AthleteIQ Score is a composite measurement of the six traits coaches value most. It's not a GPA. It's not a combine score. It's a documented, developable record of who you are as a competitor — and who you're becoming.
Each trait is scored 0-100 through assessments, daily habit completion, and module progress. The AthleteIQ Score is a weighted composite of all six traits.
AthleteIQ Score Explained
Watch a full walkthrough of how the AthleteIQ Score is calculated — the six core traits, how they're weighted, and how daily check-ins and assessments build a living, developable character profile over time.
The Six Traits
Coachability
The single most important trait coaches evaluate in a recruit. An athlete who cannot be coached cannot be developed. Every other trait depends on it.
Discipline
Daily habits, consistency, and self-regulation. Discipline is what you do when no one is watching.
Leadership
How an athlete communicates, elevates teammates, and performs under competitive pressure. Programs are built around leaders.
Mental Toughness & Resilience
Resilience under adversity, competitive composure, and the ability to bounce back from setbacks. Maintaining focus through challenges and performing when it matters most.
Accountability
Owning actions, showing up, and following through on commitments. Accountability is the foundation of trust.
Being a Good Teammate
Supporting teammates, putting the team first, communicating positively, and elevating those around you. Great teams are built by great teammates.
Why is Coachability weighted at 25%?
Because it is the single most important trait coaches evaluate in a recruit. An athlete who cannot be coached cannot be developed. Every other trait depends on it. Coachability encompasses response to feedback, body language, eye contact, and willingness to adjust.
